Harvest & Post Harvest Losses of Fresh Produce in India

We all know that the fresh produce (especially fruits and vegetables) are prone to harvest and post harvest losses. For  many years, researchers have indicated it to the tune of 30-40 % losses. But one of the recent study (though it has been done in 2005-2007 period) by CIPHET, Ludhiana undertaken by All India Coordinated Research Project on Post Harvest Technology have quantified the losses for 46 different commodities (including F&V) where F&V contributes to the tune of 6-18 % post harvest losses.
